Hancock Lumber, Robbins Lumber newest AWC members

LEESBURG, VA. – The American Wood Council (AWC) has two new members: Hancock Lumber and Robbins Lumber, both headquartered in Maine.

Founded in 1848, Hancock Lumber is a 6th generation family-owned business with retail locations in Maine and New Hampshire. Hancock Lumber also runs three eastern white pine sawmills in Maine, producing 85 million board feet each year, and owns over 12,000 acres of timberlands throughout the state.

Robbins Lumber is a 5th generation-family owned business and was founded in 1881. Robbins Lumber produces approximately 25 million board feet of white pine lumber each year. Another 3 million board feet are made into pre-cut parts and secondary manufactured products. The company also operates a wood coatings facility and owns and manages 27,000 acres of timberland in Maine.
