| Overview |

For
simple, electronic access to its collection of building
code-referenced design manuals, the American Wood Council
(AWC) has created searchable, indexed PDF® versions
of the:

2005
Wood Design Package (WDP), including the 2005
National Design Specification (NDS) for Wood Construction |

| • |
2001
Wood Frame Construction Manual (WFCM) for One- and
Two-Family Dwellings. |
|
These
manuals are available on the Standards and Design Tools Digital
Library as keycode-protected files which can be purchased by
users through the AF&PA eCommerce website. When you receive
the CD Rom (or download the files) and install the software,
you can add the manuals you wish to purchase
to a shopping cart which links to AF&PA’s eCommerce
website. PDF files can only be opened using the AWC Standards and Design Tools program. You cannot view the PDF files using Acrobat® or Acrobat Reader®.
Additional
online publications, available on the AWC website are also included
in the Digital Library. If you downloaded installation files
from the AWC website (below), the free digital resources, available
only on the CD Rom, will not be installed on your computer. If you
wish to install the free digital resources, contact AWC for a free
CD Rom containing those files. Click here for
an overview of these. If you own a previous version of the AWC
Standards and Design Tools program and have it installed, you do NOT need
to uninstall that program. This 2005 version will be installed separately
on your computer.

Code Purchase |
Each
keycode purchased is unique for the computer on which the PDF files
will be viewed. Therefore, you must purchase a valid keycode for
each computer on which you wish to view the manual(s). Once you
have purchased the manual(s), you will be sent an email confirming
your order that includes your keycode. An online
tutorial is available
to assist with the installation process.
This software
may be used by multiple users to purchase keycodes and install
the AWC Standards and Design Tools, so feel free to pass it along
to others after you have installed the Manuals you require. For
additional copies of the CD Rom, email your request to awcpubs@afandpa.org. To

Download the software setup.exe here:
If
you would like to download the setup files in smaller segments,
links are included below for 5 setup files. Simply download
these five files to the same folder on your computer and run
the setup.exe file. It will automatically detect the other four setup
files. Once the
program has been installed, follow the steps for keycode purchase
above.
